Taste the Slopes: Culinary Delights at Mont Tremblant

Let’s face it: spending on dining out isn’t always an easy decision, especially for those of us who keep a tight grip on our wallets. I am the kind of person who packs three meals for each day of skiing to avoid the temptation of making an already expensive ski experience even more expensive. Moreover, I am not swimming in money by any means, you get the gist! However, every now and then, the right moment calls for a little indulgence. Mont Tremblant’s culinary scene provides just the right temptation. Here’s where you can treat yourself without the guilt:

Chalet du Versant Nord’s Poutine Perfection

The poutine at Chalet du Versant Nord is a revelation — the epitome of ski-lodge comfort food. Picture melting St. Albert’s cheese curds on top of some crispy fries, all smothered in a hot and savory gravy. It’s the sort of food that does more than fill you up; it revives you for the afternoon’s runs.

A Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Sandwich Break at Au Grain de Cafe

For a sandwich that will stay in your memory, head to Au Grain de Cafe. Accompany their best-in-class beef sandwich with a piping hot chocolate. The aesthetic pleasure of the café, with its black and white tiling and overhanging vines, paired well with the house beats that were playing at the time I was there. I couldn’t stop bopping my head to be honest. Seating can be scarce, so don’t hesitate to enjoy your meal on a bench outside, where the village’s energy is palpable.

Maison Du Spaghetti: Homestyle Italian Close to the Slopes

A short drive to downtown Mont Tremblant takes you to the heartwarming Maison Du Spaghetti. As the name suggests, it’s all about homestyle Italian here. With generous portions of spaghetti and pizza, this place is a carb-lover’s dream. The pricing is as friendly as the service, offering a break from the pricier village restaurants. This is by far one of the best comfort foods I have had while away for a ski weekend.

Mont Tremblant proves that a ski trip can be as much about culinary exploration as it is about the thrill of the slopes. Whether you’re in the mood for the ultimate poutine, a sandwich that gets you through your day, or a comforting plate of pasta, these spots ensure your taste buds are as well cared for as your ski edges.
